During this lesson we will think about why helping students to plan experiments is a challenging area. Being clear about what the key challenges are will allow you to develop specific teaching strategies to support your learners. Understanding the prior knowledge and skills needed will also allow you to tailor your schemes of work to ensure that students have the relevant base knowledge before they start this topic. Sharing your context with your colleagues will also help you to identify specific elements of each others' pedagogy that might help you to develop your understanding or share examples of good practice.
