Learning outcomes

By the end of this course you will have:

  • A better understanding of why helping students to plan experiments is challenging and feel that you are part of a community of teachers who are facing these challenges together.
  • A good understanding of what success in helping students plan experiments looks like, so you know what your learners are aiming for.
  • Opportunities for you to see teaching activities/examples of good practice which you can take away and use in your classroom.
  • A set of next steps for approaching the challenges so you can make small, manageable and sustainable changes to your practice.

Over the next three weeks, you will be engaging in conversations in the learning forums, where much of your collaboration and reflection will happen. To help guide the discussions in the learning forums, the course is divided into three lessons each with a specific focus area.

As you have seen in the Getting started with online learning section, the learning forums are a vital aspect of our courses, and it is crucial you contribute to these discussions regularly.
