Please note: This is not a live course. If you have booked onto one of our courses, please follow the joining instructions that have been emailed to you.

What will you do during the course?

During your course you will engage in different types of activities including reading, reflecting and group work. To make the most out of your course it is important you actively engage in these activities. We are confident that the more you engage and actively participate in your course, the more you will enjoy your learning journey. You will have plenty of opportunities to reflect on what you have learned and its relevance to your existing knowledge and context.

As a colleague in the course we expect you to complete the course activities, collaborate with your colleagues, including reviewing their work and giving feedback, and ask questions. For some activities (e.g. group activities), your tutor will set fixed deadlines. It is especially important you complete group activities by the deadlines. If you contribute to a group activity after it has ended, you will not be able to complete that activity, and you may also impact your colleagues' journey by not being able to engage with them. We recommend that you try to check your emails and course notifications every day to make sure that you keep up with the discussions.

What will your tutor be doing?

Your tutor is a subject matter expert and experienced teacher, who will be facilitating the course and supporting you. You can ask your tutor any questions about the subject, the syllabus, the course or more general questions about teaching. Your tutor will mark tasks as complete and give you feedback on your progress. If your course has a reflective journal, your tutor will monitor it to check your understanding. Your tutor will answer questions and provide input to group discussions where necessary.
