    The candidate has responded to the assignment Tint, Tone & Shade by developing the concept of 'a photography project based on colour in your local area'. 

    The candidate has celebrated the use of colour throughout the assignment. 

    The candidate has provided a written interpretation of the brief, has researched information and ideas from internet, and has combined photographic work with desktop publishing skills. 

    Throughout the assignment, the candidate adopts a reflective approach through which they carefully consider the constraint of the brief. This is expressed both through the text and through the selection of images. This is rewarded in AO3. 

    The candidate has referenced exemplar photographers. These selections are relevant and demonstrates a highly effective ability to gain insight and to refine ideas.

    In keeping with the concept, the candidate has used the physical environment to determine the shape, colour, and forms which feature in the final work. This is rewarded in AO2. 

    The candidate's research is not limited to visual resources. The script contains a reflection on song lyrics which demonstrates a confident skill in researching, and a confident analytical understanding. The responses to the work of the photographers studied, is both insightful and reflective, providing evidence of a sustained investigation.

    The final work is a visually literate and a personal response, demonstrating a highly effective combination of digital and design elements.
