Cambridge IGCSE™ Economics 0455 for examination from June 2022
Scope & Sequence
Development note: Based on August 21
This resource aims to support teachers in the scoping and sequencing of a teaching programme to improve teaching standards and learning outcomes. We have enhanced the content of our schemes of work by including additional advice and resources on pedagogical
aspects which you can choose to incorporate into the scheme of work, or view as separate items.
The key areas of teaching and learning include:
Assessment for Learning (AfL) strategies at the beginning, middle and end of a learning progression.
Active learning and interleaving strategies to help learners think hard about things.
Metacognition and self-regulation strategies to help learners know what success looks like, and plan how to get there.

Additional choices appear as items underneath SOW - different options are additional pages, separate documents + (less popular - items that slot into existing SOW table, still worth exploring)
1. SOW + additional choices displayed SOW level as one document
2. SOW + additional choices as separate documents
3. SOW + additional choices displayed at unit by unit level
Actually functioning checkbox tool
Built by having loads of different Word documents pre-prepared
Options:
SOW only
SOW with limited units (e.g. if you select only a few from the topic list)
As
the user has selected to see misconceptions, starter questions, keywords, and links the addition information would appear here.
Show/hide SOW suggested timing. Looks good first time, annoying after repeated showing...
