Sand and water play areas
Sand and/or water play might take place in outside areas. In these areas, you should aim to include a range of items to support open-ended exploration and talk. Examples include:

- objects. For example, sponges, stones, shells and small toy vehicles
- tools. For example, funnels, trowels, sieves and kitchen whisks.
