The candidate’s area of study is digital photography. This candidate has produced a style guide in black and white. From the outset, the candidate demonstrates a superb sense of design and layout. This is seen here as the candidate reflects on their relationship to clothes and the capacity for clothes to communicate self-expression.
The text is supported by photographs of garments. These photographs register some of the creative elements which will be developed later in the assignment.
At this early stage, the candidate signals their concern for surface, pattern, motifs, lighting and detail. This work attracts high marks in AO1 and AO2.
