Photographs from the candidate’s travels are presented, along with some commentary. The candidate describes the different locations visited and the insight discovered by taking photographs. The candidate notes how it is possible to present a location
in a more positive light through photography. Some technical information is given.
The set of photographs contain many accomplished images. In these images, the candidate demonstrates effective control of light, texture and composition. The candidate is seen to have applied what they have gained by studying other
photographers.
In these photographs, the candidate claims to capture people, surroundings and modes of transport. These claims are clearly supported by the photographic evidence. This is rewarded in AO1 and AO4.
