The candidate continues to describe the work of Lange and Bresson and reiterates some of the ideas already introduced on previous pages. The candidate presents two of their own photographs which are inspired by Lange as well as two photographs which are inspired by Bresson. The candidate accompanies their photographs with commentary describing how their photographs reflect the work of Lange and Bresson. This work is rewarded in AO2 and AO3.

The candidate produces competent images and demonstrates some skill in the exploration of media through the handling of tone, contrast, viewpoint and posture. The candidate shows a confident approach to composition. Some interesting observations are made about the candidate’s own images. They refer to some principles of photography such as focal point and rule of thirds. This is rewarded in AO2 and AO3.
