Common errors and general guidance for candidates
- Candidates are reminded that where they provide interesting evidence of exploration of media and development of ideas, marks will be deducted where the work was not subjected to sufficient critical review or testing.
- Candidates should avoid the work becoming overly complicated and lacking in effectiveness. Such work will tend to get lower marks on AO4 where candidates can be awarded for realising their intentions.
- Higher marks could be attracted by work containing original research and first-hand experience of buildings in natural environments.
