    • Sign up for a Cambridge Professional Development Qualification

Did you know that CPSQ for teachers has been aligned to our teaching standards?

CPSQ for teachers has been mapped to both the Cambridge Teacher Standards and Cambridge Professional Development Qualifications (PDQs).

This means that if you are attending an existing Cambridge PDQ centre, you can use the results of CPSQ to help you progress through your programme.  The results will help you to be more self-aware which, in turn, encourages a greater depth of reflection with your Cambridge PDQ mentor and in your portfolio of evidence.

If you are not attending a Cambridge PDQ centre, the results of CPSQ, mapped back to the Standards can help you understand where you might need additional support or professional development.  The Standards and their associated resources help you to be more self-evaluative in the areas highlighted by CPSQ.

    • Cambridge Life Competencies Framework

You may be familiar with the Cambridge Life Competencies Framework as part of your approach to language learning. The framework outlines six key areas of competency that are important for development: Creative Thinking, Critical Thinking, Learning to Learn, Communication, Collaboration, Social Responsibilities.

These competency areas are linked to three foundation layers – emotional development, digital literacy and subject knowledge. The Framework gives a complete view of transferable skills, all detailed within one system, and shows how these skills develop across different stages of the learning journey.

You can see that there are overlaps with the framework and with the competencies reported on in CPSQ. We have mapped this to each activity card and will share this here.

In the meantime, you can read more about the framework and access the activity cards here.
