Introduction to poetry

Ask learners to spend some time reading and exploring poetry at home. Suggest a reading list linked to their set poems (perhaps other works by their set poet or poems written in a similar style) or ask learners to explore poems available online or in the library. Encourage students to keep a journal of their poetic reading, supported by reference to the text.
