Throughout the final outcome, the candidate demonstrates a highly accomplished command of visual language in the form of tone, pattern, contrast, texture, line and shape. Visual language is not used arbitrarily or treated flippantly. It is shown to be the result of the candidate’s own insights, their exploration of media and their continual review as the work developed. This attracts high marks in AO1, AO2 and AO3.
The use of a simple mirrored image provides a powerful introduction to the content of the style guide. A similar single image is used to close the style guide.
In the final outcome the candidate develops the ideas described in the supporting studies.
