Throughout the video, the candidate demonstrates a proficient command of visual language as their ideas develop. The candidate has chosen to work in colour. The work shows control of tone, pattern, contrast, texture, line and shape.

The make-up selection used by the model and the colours of floor planks are shown to reflect the fashion brand.

Some scenes are initially masked by a wall or the photographer, adding a dynamic sense of movement. The speed of movement and the speed of editing are varied throughout the sequence. The candidate makes use of short episodes of repetition to add a visually percussive effect.

Some of the shots seek to illustrate the abstract qualities of the studio equipment. The viewer is given some sense of the physical space with shots including floor markings and clothing racks. The candidate shows effective control of those sequences which move fluidly in and out of close-up. This work is rewarded in AO2 and AO3.
